Be A Driver

To become a driver, you need to meet the following requirements:

Provide your full name, kennitala number, email address, and mobile number.
Submit your home address and car details, including the plate number, brand, version, years of registration, number of seats (passengers + driver), and color.
Upload the following documents: profile picture with face, driving license (front and back), taxi driver permit, taxi car permit, and photos of your car.

For the first two months, the service is offered as a trial period and is free of charge for the drivers.

Yes, after the trial period, drivers are required to pay a deposit of 20000kr

We charge 5% for every trip that the taxi drivers make

The billing is done every month on the 28th

The payment is due on the 1st of the next month following the billing date.

There are no additional costs for the drivers. The only charges are the deposit after the trial period and the 5% charge per trip.

Once registered and approved, you will receive ride requests through the driver app. You can accept or decline requests based on your availability and preferences

The driver app provides real-time GPS navigation to guide you to the pickup and drop-off locations. It offers turn-by-turn directions and alternative routes to ensure efficient and timely trips

Tat.Taxi provides dedicated support for drivers. You can access help and assistance through the app’s support section, where you can find FAQs, contact customer support, or report any issues you encounter

Yes, Tat.Taxi offers flexible driving options, allowing you to choose your own schedule. You can drive part-time, full-time, or during specific hours that suit your availability.

Tat.Taxi prioritizes driver safety. We have safety features in place, including passenger verification, trip tracking, and emergency buttons for assistance. We also encourage drivers to follow local traffic laws and maintain a safe driving environment.
